Chip Parton for Woodfin
FOR ALL MY LIFE, I've walked the mountainsides, waded the riverbanks, and immersed myself in the verdant beauty of our little corner of the world here in Woodfin, North Carolina.
I believe all of our neighbors — from both sides of the river — deserve a voice at the table. From accessing clean water to encouraging responsible growth, I pledge to establish a balance of services through transparency, honesty, and integrity.
I’m a plumber and small business owner. I manage dozens of relationships on residential and commercial construction sites. At the time, I was the third youngest plumber in North Carolina to achieve P1 certification, the highest level of licensure. I enjoy building plumbing systems much as I enjoyed assembling LEGOs as a child.

Woodfin is my home. I was born here and raised on the same land my family has owned for fifty years. I graduated from Erwin High School and attended A-B Tech Community College. My family is part of a long line of Partons and Mosses who settled in Western North Carolina nearly 300 years ago. I live with my fiancée, Jasmine, our two Labradors, Dozer and Onyx, 25 fainting goats, and 25 egg-laying chickens.
I've been lucky — through business and life — to help many people with my heart and my hands. As a member of Woodfin Town Council, I look forward to extending the same level of service to all of the good people of Woodfin.

During Hurricane Helene, I was on the ground clearing roads and fallen trees, and assisted with emergency relief to provide water, supplies, and propane for generators. I helped maintain communication between the town and its residents, and worked with the Family Assistance Center at the Buncombe County Register of Deeds.
